The median sales price in Chandler has increased steadily, year after year, to $329,000 in 2018. (orange chart, above.)
However, the number of homes sold in Chandler has tapered off the last couple of years since the peak in 2016. Chandler saw 4,305 homes sold in 2018, which was down 2% from 2017’s 4,411, and down over 6% from 2016’s 4,598. (blue chart, below.)
Are higher prices causing would-be buyers to buy elsewhere? Or will the decrease in demand eventually cause prices to stall? Only time will tell. (and we’ll keep checking back in on Chandler to find out.)
